How to Do an End of Year Entrepreneur Small Business Review – How to Plan for 2025
If you have a small business, you are the CEO and you need to not just be setting fun, dream goals, but STRATEGIC, attainable goals.

My business COMPLETELY changed in 2024, and it wasn’t for the better…
I made a BIG pivot in 2024 by investing $4,000 into a course that taught me how to create passive income strategically. I desired more time and less 1:1 clients so I dove in to the work and revamped my Squarespace With Confidence course to be Beyond the Template.
Although I believe I came out with a better product, I spent 9 months and 200+ hours focussing on this which resulted in a HUGE dip in income. So what will I change in 2025? I will plan my year more strategically and not chase unrealistic goals (I’m sorry but you can’t make $10K months on a course if you don’t have a decent sized following).

Here’s what I’m doing differently in planning my business:
- Answer – what didn’t go well this year?
- Looking at the numbers/ metrics to see what truly moves the needle in my business.
- Is there anything I can outsource? Instead of spending money on education, I am going to focus on spending money on services (someone to do ads FOR me is my next goal).
- Writing down what brings me the most joy and what my WHY is. I started this business to be home with (future) kids, have freedom to travel, chase goals, and donate money however I want. Some of those things are going great (I’ll be in Hawaii with my husband for a week and then in Minnesota for a week and then in Iowa for a week! The BEST December in my opinion).
- Re-launching instead of coming up with a new way to launch or a new product.
This approach will help me set more realistic, actionable goals that align with my revenue targets, cut out unnecessary busywork, free up my time, and stay on track all year without the overwhelm.

LONG TERM MARKETING STRATEGIES/ GROW AUDIENCE/ LEAD GEN IDEAS:
- Pitch to adjacent audiences my freebie/ masterclass to grow my email list
- 2 blog/ YouTubes a month
- Pitch to be on other podcasts (or guest blogger) 2/ month and then send to evergreen webinar
- Join 4 free bundles to try to grow email list (and have mini course I deliver)
- POSSIBLY put ad dollars behind webinar (or maybe SEO Course since converted at 5% for Black Friday sale)
- Revive Facebook group Showit & Squarespace for Creatives
TO CREATE/ MONEY MAKERS:
The main way I make money in my small business is through Website in a Day and Website in a Week. I want to take on 6 day rates in 2025 and 4 Website in a Weeks. You can see the breakdown below of my main money makers:
✦ WEBSITE VIP DAY – $1,850 – Goal = sell 6 – $8,400 (after taxes)
✦ SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT (I do this for 1 client I’ve had since 2018) – $550 – Total for year = $4,950
✦ WEBSITE IN A WEEK – $3,500 – 4 – $10,500 (after taxes)
✦ SQUARESPACE SEO COURSE – $250 – 10 – $2,000
✦ SQUARESPACE COURSE (Beyond The Template) – $697 – 6 – $3,346
✦ AFFILIATE FOR SQUARE SECRETS BUSINESS – $600 – 6 – $2,700
✦ THRIVECART AFFILIATE – $345 – 5 – $1,380
✦ SHOPIFY WEBSITE DESIGN – $4,500 – 4 – $7,200 (I would give 1/2 to the developer)
This would help me reach my goal of $40,000 after taxes (not including expenses)
- Q1: LIVE LAUNCH in FEBRUARY (Beyond The Template Course + Bonuses)
- Q2: Paige Brunton – Square Secrets Business – March 17 to April 8 // CREATE MY Website In A Day COURSE as a BONUS (Beta)
- Q3: LAUNCH in SEPT = Black Friday Kit (Dolly DeLong, Mara Kucerik, and I have big plans to up-level this!)
- Q4: Launch Black Friday sale of Squarespace SEO Course
DREAMS FOR 2025
- Add Shopify Website Design as a service (outsource the development)
- Launch a new Facebook group with Dolly and Mara (who I do the Black Friday Kit with) that helps people who are trying to create a course
- Create a new course that teaches you to DIY a Showit website
- Retreat for Christian entrepreneurs hosted in Idaho with Suzy Holling
