Are you a coach looking to create a stunning website to showcase your expertise and attract new clients? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Today, we’re going to dive into the world of website builders and explore two popular options: Squarespace and Showit.
Try Flodesk (my fave email marketing platform) for 50% off the first year
Take Sarah’s Showit SEO Course (and get $50 off using code BEKAH)
Both of these platforms offer a streamlined and straightforward approach to website creation, making it easier than ever for coaches like you to establish an online presence. So, whether you’re a tech-savvy entrepreneur or a complete beginner, this blog post will break down the basics and help you make an informed decision.
The first question to ask is WHAT MATTERS TO YOU?
Then Showit is the way to go. Although Squarespace has come SO FAR in terms of being able to drag and drop elements exactly where you want them, it still isn’t as flexible as Showit. Just be prepared to remake everything on mobile that you just designed on desktop (aka it will take more time).
Either platform works great for SEO as long as you are optimizing the backend for it.
Both Squarespace and Showit offer options to optimize your website for search engines. Squarespace SEO and Showit SEO are both important considerations for improving your website’s visibility and ranking on search engine results pages. While Squarespace offers built-in SEO features and plugins, Showit provides flexibility and control over your SEO settings. If you’re looking for a more hands-on approach, Showit may be the better choice for you. However, if you prefer a straightforward and streamlined SEO process, Squarespace offers a variety of resources.
If you choose Showit, I 100% recommend THIS COURSE. (Use code BEKAH for $99.40 off the course)
✓ If you want all the customizations and options for your website in terms of design, Showit is the way to go (although I will say Squarespace has come leaps and bounds since its first iteration).
✓If you need great customer service, Showit takes the cake IMO.
✓ You know Adobe programs (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
✓ You have a WordPress website with blogs and don’t want to loose your SEO.
✓ You want complete creative freedom over designing the mobile.
✓ You just want to start with a great template and use easy tools to design your website.
✓ Everything is integrated you don’t need extra plugins (you can have a shop with your digital downloads, email list, blog, etc. all in Squarespace).
✓ You like to dig through forums for lots of answers to your question.
✓ You want a super easy backend to navigate.
✓ You plan to blog a lot and want it to be very similar to design like your website.
Hopefully you now know which is a better choice for YOU. Take all these factors into consideration and hopefully you have a clear understanding of the pros and cons of each platform, making it obvious which one is the perfect fit for your coaching business.
I will say, if you are a coach and trying to choose the *right* platform, I have some news for you – either will work and both will serve you well. Just go for it.
You can’t start getting SEO on your website until it is live, so stop researching and just choose.
Overall, both Squarespace and Showit have their own unique strengths and advantages. It ultimately comes down to your specific needs and preferences. Consider factors such as design flexibility, customization options, SEO capabilities, and ease of use when making your decision. With the extensive solutions and honest comparisons provided in this post, you’ll be able to choose the perfect website platform for your coaching business with confidence. So don’t hesitate, dive in and create a website that showcases your coaching expertise and attracts your ideal clients!
