As an middle schooler who was forced to read 1.5 hours a day in the summer, I began to detest and resent reading. That being said, I love personal development and a good novel that can sweep you away.
The past few years I’ve made it a goal to read 2 books a month. My favorite book of 2019 was probably You Are The Girl For The Job by Jess Connolly.
One of my goals for 2021 is to ensure that every 1 in 5 books I read is fiction (that’s a C.S. Lewis quote). I also want to give myself permission to put the book down if I hate it. I always feel like I HAVE to finish the whole thing. And it has been TORTURE in the past.
So many great reads in 2020!
I’ve got messy hair and a thirsty heart.
I overshare my life, and have an ultra-expressive personality.
Elphaba from Wicked is kind of my alter-ego as I am always trying to forge my own path and make a difference in the World, somehow, someway, while also constantly criticizing myself and trying to become the better version of me.
Quality conversations + coffee come easy to me.
I’ve never had an issue connecting naturally with others (probs because I can go on and on about my life story, not that it is interesting, I just process externally, anyone else?!)
