1. I started a thankful journal.
Starting out a business is difficult! Starting this journal is what kept me going. Somedays the only thing I could think of is my husband, but I always wrote something down.
2. I am fiercely loyal.
My friends know that I will do everything in my power to fight for our friendship. The same goes for my business. Underpromise and overdeliver will always be my motto, along with leading by serving. I truly believe that this is what have kept clients coming back for more.
3. I tell it how it is.
It’s not that I don’t have a filter, I just very rarely find the benefit in keeping something to myself. So if you follow me on Instagram you will see the great, the awkward, and the hard. This relatableness has actually helped me get clients!
4. I especially love the clients who challenge me.
Some of my favorite clients have been the ones who made me re-do the whole about page of their website. When you get a lot of brains involved and people who care, brilliance is formed.
5. I have theme days.
When I was working 5 days a week, I would have a theme for each day. Monday marketing, Tuesday client calls, Wednesday create content for my business, client work Thursday, and finance (or admin) Friday.
What are your business secrets? Don’t have any? Try out one of these and let me know how it goes!
I’ve got messy hair and a thirsty heart.
I overshare my life, and have an ultra-expressive personality. Some words people use to describe me are: helpful, real, fun, creative, authentic, and kind.
Elphaba from Wicked is kind of my alter-ego as I am always trying to forge my own path and make a difference in the World, somehow, someway, while also constantly criticizing myself and trying to become the better version of me.
Quality conversations + coffee come easy to me.
I’ve never had an issue connecting naturally with others (probs because I can go on and on about my life story, not that it is interesting, I just process externally, anyone else?!)
