In a completely unrelated-to-business blog post, we have Eliza’s first Bday Party! I wanted a theme that was an ode to where we lived. Spokane (and the Pacific Northwest in general) has tons of huckleberries in the surrounding mountains so we bought some blueberry shirts, picked some fresh huckleberries for the mimosas (for adults) and cake (for Eliza), bought a purple balloon arch and called it good!
Shout out to our AMAZING friends and family who help put this together!
🫐 Grandma for the cake & huckleberry mimosas
🫐 Aunt Tina for helping with the balloons
🫐 Julee Higley for the food spread
🫐 Amy with Simply Sweet Spokane for the cookies
🫐 Colleen Ford for the pics
I’ve got messy hair and a thirsty heart.
I overshare my life, and have an ultra-expressive personality.
Elphaba from Wicked is kind of my alter-ego as I am always trying to forge my own path and make a difference in the World, somehow, someway, while also constantly criticizing myself and trying to become the better version of me.
Quality conversations + coffee come easy to me.
I’ve never had an issue connecting naturally with others (probs because I can go on and on about my life story, not that it is interesting, I just process externally, anyone else?!)
Thank you!
We live up in Colville WA and we named our son Huck Berry. He turns 1 in July and I have been wondering how to pull off a huckleberry birthday. Thank you for sharing 😊
I am so glad you found this helpful! We loved the theme and having it relate to WA too!
