Top 8 places to buy thank you gifts for clients

Let’s start off with this, when I realized how freaking amazing my Squarespace and Showit website clients were, I KNEW I needed to celebrate them when we launched their website, but finding the perfect gift was TOUGH! Can we just say OVERPRICED?

I quickly threw my hands in the air and DIY’d it by going to TJ Maxx, Target, and Ross, getting adorable gifts, and wrapping it myself, but the effort wasn’t worth it to me, so I started researching…

* PLEASE NOTE * There is nothing wrong with DIY’ing your gifts, especially when you’re starting out or have time to do so! I would find adorable notebooks, hats, pens, mugs, candles, etc. and buy a box and confetti at Target boutique to send. Sometimes I would even get super fancy and add my logo with a sticker from Avery.com!

Here is my round-up of where to buy gift boxes as a thank you to your client!

1. Kindly Kyle Gifted

Hannah Kyle is my number one choice if I am focussing on price! I have never met someone as reasonably priced as she! Plus she is a friend from high school and just starting up her entrepreneur business — added bonus! Her pricing is around $40 (at the time of posting this blog) for a gift like the one below and she mails it for you, however you can tell her exactly how much you want to spend and she figures out how to get it in your budget which I love.

2. Camden & Blue

Atarsha is so sweet and a gem to follow on Instagram! Camden & Blue is a custom gifting service company specializing in brand/ corporate, client, and wedding gifts. She utilizes locally and regionally sourced artisan products which I LOVE! Her gifts are so thoughtful and beautifully designed and packaged.

Let’s talk pricing since I know that’s a big thing. Camden & Blue offers two types of gifts, the mini and the deluxe. The mini gift contains 3-4 gift items with a starting investment at $65. The deluxe gift contains 5-7 items with a starting investment of $85.

The goods in her boxes vary with a wide range of handcrafted gift items like leather goods, custom ceramics, custom treats, and candles.

3. White Confetti Box

Another very reasonably priced gifting company (with a lot of options) is White Confetti Box. It isn’t specific for client gifts, but you could definitely get the Breakfast in Bed box for $55 or this box or do an A La Carte box where you could do about 4 items for around $33. I got a gift for a client with custom mugs + champagne glasses and she LOVED it (see the price below, this is a GREAT option if you’re looking for a more budget-friendly client gift)!

4. Peach Box Co

This is a latina-owned (ummm YES) business that allows you to write special notes on the cards (LOVE that). Their prices range from $35 to $200.

I built my own box so it could be on brand for my Showit Website Design client and for 6 items it was $70 (give or take with shipping). In the box I created, I had the beautiful box itself, a hand written card and:

  • LAPCOS – DAILY SKIN MASK – CICA
  • OLD WHALING CO. – SPEARMINT + EUCALYPTUS BATH BOMB
  • PADDYWAX – PETITE REED DIFFUSER – BALSAM
  • PADDYWAX – HAND CREAM – EUCALYPTUS SANTAL
  • WIT & DELIGHT – GREEN NOTE TO SELF JOURNAL

5. The BroBasket

I got this for a real estate client gift. I developed the real estate website on Squarespace and my clients LOVED it! I bought the Maker’s Mark Manhattan Cocktail Gift Basket for $132.82 (I was 3 years into my business, and my website prices have raised so I am now spending more) and it was the perfect gift for their small team!

6. Bellina Gifts

Bellina Gifts was another great find as they are fairly new. They have a wide range of pricing, but you can easily find something in the $60-$80 range and their boxes are PACKED!

7. Lavender and Pine Gifting

I love that this company incorporates lavender into their gift boxes! Also you can have them send your gift off with a custom tag with your logo just increasing the classiness! Below is an example of what a beautiful gift will cost you (with a Black Friday discount sale).

8. A Local Cookie Decorator

This is my current favorite way of unique gifting! I’ve used @secretgardencookieco + @wildflourcookiesco for my clients, but I would suggest finding a local to the area in which your client lives. This is such a fun way to customize the gift with things your client loves (ahem, boxer pups and Texas hold’em).

A few other gift box ideas I considered:

1. Box Babe Gift Co : Their mission is to amplify the voices of small women-owned businesses. Every single item is sourced from a women-owned business and they have curated gift boxes you can personalize!

2. Box Wood Gift : Female founded and owned, this gifting company has thoughtful corporate gifts for clients, teams, and events!

3. Shop Leather Bird : A business from my current WFH location (Spokane, WA). LeatherBird is a small business, specializing in handcrafted leather, wood, stone, and metal jewelry. About once a year they do gift boxes with stunning local items!

4. The Bouqs Co. : An Online Flower Delivery Service? Yes please! I love that you can send not only stunning bouquets to your clients but also curated plants!

5. BOXFOX : By curating the products they make the gifts super personal for your client and handle all the delivery (which, let’s be honest, is the worst part). Shop Box Fox has a wide variety of prices from just $32 to $190 giving you lots of options.

6. White Spruce Market : This business based out of my home state (Minnesota) is serving up adorable baskets for around $75. I love their Boss one for $75 and Mini Spa Day for $65! You can also get 15% off if you sign up for their newsletter #winning
