How to create a privacy policy on Squarespace 7.1

The privacy policy how-to video you didn’t know you needed!

If you have a website, you should have a privacy policy. Of course I believe the physical appearance of your website is super important, however a privacy policy informs the customer how you will use their data (ie. tracking via Google or collecting emails via a freebie) and it can save you from issues down the road.

Don’t know what a privacy policy is?

This is a link usually at the very bottom of a website that is clickable and leads people to your privacy policy page (which is what I will show you in this video how to create).

What does the privacy policy need?

  1. How you are collecting the website user’s data
  2. How you are processing personal data
  3. What you are doing to keep that data confidential

Friend, I know it’s not sexy, but it is necessary if you are collecting user data in some way.
